KELLY MOORE NAMED COMMUNITY DELEGATE FOR FRIENDS OF THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAM Title bestowed on Mr. Moore by Vice President of Outreach, recently requested to attend mission in Nicaragua.
MANCHESTER VT. Only two other delegates with the same title exist, and now founder of Music For Mankind® Kelly Moore will share the title Community Delegate for Friends of the World Food Program and its responsibilities with former NBA star Ivano Newbill and DeShawn Shepard, former Miss Maryland International.
"It is an enormous honor to become a Community Delegate of the Friends of the World Food Program." Kelly states. "This will allow me the opportunity to create even more visibility about global hunger, and encourage organizations to help by giving us the opportunity to perform a Music For Mankind® concert. I am very excited to be able to continue this effort, and am looking forward to working very closely with the Friends of the World Food Program."
Margot Hoerrner states, "Kelly's generosity will make a tremendous impact in the lives of the hungry. His benefit concert series is a very enjoyable experience for all that attend, with proceeds going directly to support our work in feeding the hungry poor in 80 different countries around the world."
One of the first requests from the Friends of the World Food Program for Kelly is to accompany the United Nations and the Friends of the World Food Program on a humanitarian trip to Nicaragua in July of this year. He will be representing Music For Mankind® and helping out with various duties with the Friends of the World Food Program. The title comes at a crucial time where the world is currently going through a global food crisis. "Friends of WFP have invited me to join them in Nicaragua to see the efforts of WFP, relating them to their efforts worldwide". Kelly states, "[The Friends of the World Food Program] greatly appreciate my support of their efforts, and have encouraged me to create a TV special, which I will be able to air on Dish Network."
Since its inception in late 2006, Kelly's efforts through Music For Mankind® have helped both regionally, with the very successful Music For Mankind® Charity Food Drives in Vermont, and internationally with proceeds generated through his live performances across Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts going directly to feeding over 12,000 children near the Darfur region. Kelly has been seen on various media outlets, including his promotional DVD aired nationally on Dish Network, and regionally on WCAX TV (CBS) "Across The Fence", and Vermont Public Radio.

 | Morgan played to a packed crowd over at the MInt in Los Angeles on Thursday night with her full band. She and the band are gearing up for the release of her new album in October followed by a tour later in November. The album is being produced by The Wizardz of Oz (Liz Phiar) and her songs could be described as a fusion of her classical background (piano, cello and opera) and the dark wave/industrial music she luxuriates in. If Trent Reznor, Kate Bush and Blonde Redhead had a lovechild, little Miss Morgan would be her. |

 | SLOPPY MEATEATERS ON JUNE COVER OF ZERO MAGAZINE ROME, GA: The punk influenced rock group Sloppy Meateaters graced the cover of Zero magazine's June issue. The band made quite and impression on editor Larry Trujillo so much that they were selected for the cover of the warped tour guide issue, even though they are not on the tour. Better yet not even from the Bay area, however that could change after their next tour. We will keep you posted.
