To get involved with Maelstrom Music and take advantage of the many opportunities that it can open for you, we have a few things that need to be established.
First, one must be willing to promote independently through publicity (i.e. exposure to newspapers, TV, and magazines at all levels). Maelstrom Music believes in this as a tool to build a solid foundation for the future of any project, and feels that this is the most effective way to start. Though this company works in conjunction with various entities and its representatives on certain levels, we do not encourage any one band or artist to solely "shop" their product. We also encourage artists to find some sort of way to play shows both in their town as well as on the road in some sort of tour, though not required.
Second, one must have manufactured finished CD product from a duplication house. (Sometimes CD "burns" from PC’s, and "home made" cassettes come across our desk, and are difficult to represent on a professional level). Maelstrom PR feels that it is important to show commitment to a project, and feel that this gets it done. However, just because you do not have finished product doesn’t mean that we can’t represent you. Please call for further information.
Third, one needs to commit to publicity for a minimum of three months, simply because most national publications have a three-month lead time, meaning that what they write now will not show up for another three months for printing reasons. After seeing the results the press has to offer your project, a month by month assessment can be made. Give us a call for more information.
Fourth, that’s it! A detailed, accurate campaign will be created prior to the projects needs and expectations, and the results will follow. The music speaks for iteslf!
